I have to send a HUGE thanks to everyone who voted for me in the Texas Music Awards. This portion of the whole experience was amazing. I got so many emails from people who I haven't heard from in years, with kind words of support and letting me know they put in their vote for me. Not only that, but I had people telling me they were asking their family, friends, and coworkers to vote for me! It's all very humbling, actually.
My hometown paper ran an article (thanks Jeff!), the Grapeland Messenger did the same (thanks Penny!). Facebook and MySpace turned into online campaign headquarters. Artists I have met and interviewed over the past year have sent out newsletters asking their fans to vote for me! My sister even helped my parents vote. Not expecting any of this, it's all just a tad overwhelming.
I may not be voted TMA Disc Jockey of the Year, but I already am incredibly thankful for the efforts from everyone involved. I can't wait for April 26th!
